Mix pickle ingredients
together. Soak for 24 hours in plastic dish pan. (See
note 2 below) Rinse well and cover with clear, cold
water. Let set 3 more hours.
Drain pickles and cover with
the syrup ingredients. Put this in a kettle and mix
over heat until sugar is dissolved. Let stand until
next morning in this solution.
Next day, bring all to a
boil and boil for 35 minutes. Pack in pint jars and
seal.
