No Name Pickles
Pickles
6 quarts cucumbers, sliced ¼ cup salt water
Syrup
2½ cups vinegar 6 onions, sliced 6 cups sugar 2½ cups water 2 tsp turmeric 2 tsp mustard seed 1 tsp celery seed
Add ¼ cup salt to cucumbers. Add enough water to cover. Let stand over night. Next day, drain. Mix syrup ingredients. Add to pickles. Bring to a boil. Cook for 10 minutes. Put in jars and seal.
