Shepard's Pie

Peel, cook and mash the potatoes. Add enough milk and butter to mashed potatoes to make them moist but not runny. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
 
Brown the ground beef. Drain any oil. Add seasoned salt, garlic powder, onion powder, savory, sage, thyme, pepper, oregano. Heat 1-2 minutes more.
 
Place ground beef in the bottom of a rather deep casserole dish. Layer with cooked, mixed vegetables. Then layer with mashed potatoes. Bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes, til potatoes turn golden brown and crusty. May sprinkle top with paprika a few minutes before cooking is finished.
 
Serve with brown gravy on the side.
